The Geography...
Its 400 square miles wrapped by 360 miles of shoreline, the Kitsap Peninsula runs from the county seat Port Orchard and Bremerton at the south up to Silverdale, Kitsap Mall, Bangor and Poulsbo... then east to Kingston and north to Hansville at the peninsula's tip.

The Kitsap Peninsula connects to the Olympic Peninsula across the Hood Canal Bridge north of Poulsbo for Port Townsend, Dungeness, Sequim, Port Angeles and the rugged Olympic Mountains... plus Hurricane Ridge, Crescent Lake, the Hoh Rain Forest, the bold Pacific Coast and Victoria BC... and to the east shores of Puget Sound by 5 ferry routes, including the Kingston - Edmonds Ferry and Bainbridge Island - Seattle Ferry. A village on the northeast shores of the Kitsap Peninsula. A rural-suburban community, including commuters to the north side of Seattle among its relaxed citizens.

Waterfront businesses cater particularly to the summer tourists headed for and from the Hood Canal Bridge... plus year-around holiday weekenders.

There are conveniently located stores for the locals and expanded retail stores, service businesses and medical offices in Poulsbo and on Bainbridge Island... and in the major regional retail, commercial and professional complexes at Silverdale.

Kingston and all of the communities on the Kitsap Peninsula from Poulsbo to the east and north are served by the North Kitsap School District.

Recreation & Play...
Waterfront parks and public access sites provide saltwater fishing, crabbing and shellfishing for everyone. The Point No Point County Park at Hansville includes the historic lighthouse and a beach running along Admiralty Inlet and Puget Sound. And for freshwater swimming and fishing there's Buck Lake County Park, also at Hansville.
